Not so Strictly Come Dancing
The sequins and glamour of the ballroom arrived at Rookery Manor, near Weston on Saturday 27th February for a “Not so Strictly Come Dancing” competition in aid of domestic violence charity, Standing Together.
Ward’s Solicitors’ Sylvie Penwill is involved with the charity and helped to organise the fundraiser:
“Standing Together supports those fleeing domestic violence; in particular those who have no access to public funds due to their uncertain immigration status. It was wonderful to see the local community “dancing” together to help these people. Everyone worked so hard in the lead up to the competition – practising for weeks – and looked simply amazing!”
Natalie Amor and Amy Jones, from the Weston Super Mare office both took to the dance floor with their partners helping to raise over £1,400 for Standing Together. Alison Underhill, from the Staple Hill office, who took second place with her partner at the previous ‘strictly’ were called to the floor to demonstrate their talents.
