Wards Solicitors ‘Survive’ Bingo Night
The Survive Bingo Night, at the Jolly Sailor Pub night was organised by Wards Solicitors’ Jessica Williams, and sponsored by the Firm, to raise money for the work that Survive does. Survive is a Kingswood based charity that provides support, refuge and courses for women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Legal Aid news from Wards’ specialist solicitors
Local law firm, Wards Solicitors is proud to announce that the firm was successful in its recent application to continue to do legal aid family work. These new Family Law Legal Aid contracts will run from 1st February 2012 to 30th November 2013.

Today, 9th November 2011 the Supreme Court has issued its long-awaited decision on property rights of unmarried partners. The case provides clarity on issues affecting jointly-owned property following its previous decision in Stack-v-Dowden.

No you can’t share my lotter win!
In the first UK case of its type, the High Court has refused to award a man a half-share of his ex-wife’s lottery prize. The case was brought by a hotel porter whose wife had won £500,000 on a National Lottery ticket she had bought more than a decade ago.
