Biography

What’s the best thing about your job?

I like helping people to resolve issues that might, to them, seem impossible. It all comes down to finding the right approach for the people involved – for the whole family. I like that every case is different and requires a different way of doing things. The important thing is an outcome that meets the client’s needs and one which will last.

Specialism

Alison specialises in helping people resolve issues arising from relationship breakdown, including finance and arrangements for children.  She is experienced in assisting clients using a range of dispute resolution including traditional legal and court processes, advising during mediation and is a trained collaborative lawyer.  Alison also has experience in dealing with clients who wish to make financial arrangements in their relationship, including cohabitation and pre nuptial agreements. Alison is a Resolution accredited specialist in Financial Provision and in Cohabitation Law.

1996: Joined Bobetts Mackan (specialising in financial cases)

Previously worked in the legal department of Avon and then Bristol City Council.
