Biography

What do you like most about your work?

I enjoy the fact that each client is unique. Everyone thinks of Conveyancing as being a ‘standard’ process but it’s not. Particularly in the National Conveyancing Unit, we work with large companies and employees, involved in relocation, conveyancing ‘chain breaking’ and part exchange. It’s completely varied and really keeps you on your toes!

What do you do when you aren’t being a Conveyancing expert?

I try to keep fit, having represented England at masters level in cross country running. It’s a great way of getting to see the local area, as well as indulging my competitive streak! Just before my 40th birthday, I came 110th in the 2008 London Marathon, in 2 hours 35 minutes, though still 20 minutes behind a fellow law graduate, South African Hendrick Ramaala, who won the New York Marathon 4 years earlier.

2009 –  Became Head of National Conveyancing Unit
2002 – Became a partner and Head of Conveyancing
1992 -  Joined Wards as a trainee solicitor, specialising in Conveyancing at an early stage
