Biography

What was your first-ever job?

Working in a plastics factory on a kibbutz in Israel; they manufactured the components for plastic fans which we then had to pack into boxes for export; every time I see a plastic desk fan, I recall the job!

What was your worst experience as a trainee?

I can’t really think of one; all my worst experiences came after I qualified!

What book are you currently reading?

I am currently reading ‘Saigon’ by Anthony Grey, an epic saga following a family through 50 years of Vietnam’s history, in preparation for a forthcoming holiday there.

Specialism

Janet specialises in road traffic accidents; accidents at work; serious limb injuries – from broken bones to amputations; sexual abuse claims.

Her goal is to secure maximum compensation for people injured as a result of an accident caused by negligence and she considers getting a person back to full fitness just as important as compensation and therefore works with clients and insurers to achieve this whenever possible.

Janet has achieved Senior Litigator status with APIL, the organisation which represents injured people.  She is also the Chairman for Nailsea Chamber Trade.  Janet has an interest in road safety & driving and has recently  passed her Institute of Advanced Motorists test.
