24 Hours in Bristol announces the finalists

After a busy weekend of snapping, followed by over a week of heated debates and studying the 1,000 entries the judges have finally announced the 72 images given a place in the competition finals.

It was incredibly difficult to choose the final 3 images from each hour but we're delighted with these final choices. You can see the full Gallery page of the website and choose 'Finalists' from the 'Rankings' menu to see all 72 shortlisted images.

The chosen three images from the Wards Solicitors sponsored two hours are:

09:00 - 10:00

24 Hours Bristol

Martin Mullins from Whitchurch, Bristol

Barry Sullivan from Bishopston, Bristol

Jeffrey Lucas from Westbury Park, Bristol

20:00 - 21:00

The final selection of the top 3 photographs will be on the morning of Friday 15th November, when all the main judges will meet to view the 72 printed photos hung at The Guildhall to choose their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. Giant prints of the winning images will then be made and the winners will be announced on the evening. We'll be displaying our shortlisted photos in the Bristol City Centre, Wards Solicitors offices, once these have been announced. In the meantime, don't forget to go down to The Guildhall to view the exhibition after 15th November.
