Wards Solicitors' James Murray, who specialises in engineering and building disputes, has been made a member of The Technology and Construction Solicitors Association (TeCSA), the leading organisation for solicitors practising construction and information technology law in England and Wales.

His application was recently approved by TeCSA's membership committee who require evidence of significant relevant experience in the Technology and Construction Court. James is the only member in the South West based outside of Bristol.

James, a solicitor associate who has worked at Wards Solicitors since 2009, deals regularly with cases including defective or unfinished work, delays in getting a project finished, payment disputes with contractors and professional negligence.

He said: "TeCSA was set up to help shape court practice and legislation with the focus on assisting dispute resolution. I look forward to adopting their techniques to help resolve my clients' disputes as quickly and cost effectively as possible."
