Keynsham Wills and Probate team gets new ‘home grown’ lawyer

  • 17th Oct 2019

Newly qualified lawyer Charlotte Gage, the latest member of Wards Solicitors’ Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity team, takes up her position already knowing the firm extremely well.

Not only has she just completed her traineeship with us, before that she spent two years learning the ropes by working full time as support staff whilst simultaneously studying for her Legal Practice Course (LPC).

Keynsham office

She now joins the Keynsham office where she will work with Partner Ruth Coles in the Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity department.

Charlotte will deal with Will drafting, inheritance tax planning, probate and estate administration as well as mental capacity work including the application and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Charlotte says she’s delighted to join the Keynsham team as a qualified lawyer and agrees that working as a secretary in different departments was not only interesting but extremely helpful to her LPC studies at the time.

Massive help

“Working in a legal environment undoubtedly helped me massively,” she says. “It is one thing to be taught about the law in practice but another to be surrounded by it on a daily basis.

“It taught me a lot about time management, client contact and how Wards Solicitors runs and works which really helped me when I was doing my training contract and continues to do so now that I am qualified.”

Managing Partner, David Sheridan, says: “It has been fantastic to see Charlotte’s progress and I am delighted to now welcome her as a fully qualified solicitor.”

We cannot accept drop-in appointments.
