New starters and moves at Wards Solicitors

  • 7th Nov 2013

Local independent law firm, Wards Solicitors is pleased to announce a number of new appointments and moves in their Bristol City Centre and Weston-super-Mare offices.

Rebecca Purchase joins the firm as a Solicitor within the firm’s Bristol City Centre Wills, Wealth & Mental Capacity team, having recently qualified as a solicitor. Rebecca will focus on all areas including Wills, Probate and Estate Administration, in particular Court of Protection and Mental Capacity work including deputyship and lasting powers of attorney.

Rebecca said:“I’m delighted to have joined the Wards Solicitors team.  Having the opportunity to work with such a well-respected and established local firm is fantastic and I’m really looking forward to meeting my new clients!”

Emma Wildblood, a specialist family lawyer, has joined Wards Solicitors Weston-super-Mare office.  Emma specialises in public care work – situations when the Local Authority has applied to the courts to have a child taken into care.   Having worked for both sides, during her career, she has been listed on the Law Society’s Children Panel both as a children and parent representative, as well as a Local Authority Member.  Her experience in these matters not only involves representing parents, children and other family members in care proceedings but she has also represented the Official Solicitor in acting for parents with disabilities.

Emma comments:  “It’s satisfying seeing the transformation in those who have, with our help, been able to move on with their lives and regain their self-esteem again. I am looking forward to working as a part of one of the leading, specialist family teams in the region.”

Weston-super-Mare resident, former nurse and Wills & Probate solicitor, Susan Fairless, has now moved to the Wards Solicitors Worle office from Nailsea, to cover Ruth Coles’ maternity leave.  Wills & Probate specialist, Katherine Roe, has moved from Bristol City Centre to work in the Nailsea office until the New Year, when another new starter will join the growing Nailsea team.
