Local independent law firm, Wards Solicitors is pleased to announce two new partners for 2015.

Disputes specialist and mediation expert, James Taylor, based in the firm's Bradley Stoke office, joined the firm in 2006. He has managed the Bradley Stoke office since 2008 and is particularly known for his financial services, employment and property disputes experience.

Probate, Wills & Mental Capacity expert, Tom Scoffham, also based in Bradley Stoke, joined the firm in 2008. He is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, Society of Estate & Trust Practitioners and a member of the Law Society Probate section.

Managing Partner, David Sheridan said: "Our January partnership appointments demonstrate our commitment to progression and the long-term future of the firm. Whilst the face of the legal market in Bristol and the South West has changed significantly over recent years, our belief in the importance of local legal specialists hasn't. James and Tom represent the very best of this. I'm delighted to be able to welcome them to the partnership."

James Taylor said: "Both Tom and I are delighted to have been recognised in this way and to join a long line of local legal experts as partners of Wards Solicitors. Being a solicitor in the modern age, what with social media and online services, is very different from when Wards Solicitors first started. The coming years require partnerships to adapt and seek opportunities that increase the value and flexibility of services provided to clients. The firm has been serving the local community for over 100 years and it's an honour to have been selected to help continue that legacy."

Clevedon-based disputes specialist, Emma Kerry, has also been promoted to Associate Solicitor, starting the same day.
