A cycling tour of 111km to mark Wards Solicitors' 111th year as local legal specialists will take in all 11 of its offices - and all to raise money for its charity of the year, BRACE.

The route will begin at the Bradley Stoke office and finish at Weston-super-Mare taking in all the other offices on the way, including the newest at Henleaze which opened in May.

Wards Solicitors' staff will power their way across the countryside
with cakes and refreshments provided at many offices to keep up their energy and spirits.

They are hoping to raise as much money as possible for BRACE, a Bristol-based charity which funds vital medical research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's.

A Wards Solicitors' team last took to their bikes on a cycling tour of offices back in 2013 in aid of the Jessie May Trust , a charity in Bristol providing nursing care at home for children and young people with life limiting conditions.

Partner James Taylor, who is celebrating 10 years with Wards Solicitors, has also organised this year's event which will take place on 9 October. Donning lycra (or not) alongside him are Clare Mizen, Pete Livingstone, Steph Hill, Richard Clement, Jessie Price, Rachael Thomas, Katrina Bartlett and Mohammed Abdi.

James said: " It's for a fantastic cause - I just hope I can keep up with the young'uns for the full 70 miles!"
