Phew! What a scorcher! Sizzling at South Gloucestershire Show

  • 7th Aug 2018

The sun beat down, the chocolates in our prize hampers melted and the visiting dogs drank our water bowl dry – but everyone on the Wards Solicitors’ stand at this year’s South Gloucestershire Show had a fantastic couple of days.

Our staff from the Yate, Clevedon, Bradley Stoke and Keynsham offices were delighted that so many clients popped into say hello on their way round the showground.

Situated by the main arena, our stand was perfectly positioned to watch displays including the acrobatic horse riders of the Stampede Stunt Company and Wings of Wales Falconry.

And we felt right at home next to the stunning floral exhibits of Thornbury Garden Centre and just a little way along from the Jessie May stand, the Children’s Hospice at Home services for terminally ill local children – a former Wards Solicitors’ Charity of the Year and a cause close to our hearts.

The show, which took place at the Westerleigh Showground near Yate, had a huge array of activities and displays including a country fair, food and music festivals, arts and crafts and kids areas and a BMX arena. Organisers are hoping that it hit its target of attracting 30,000 visitors this year.

  • We’ll be getting in touch with the winners of our prize hampers and ‘Name the Bear’ competitions very soon.
