Wards Solicitors help hospital achieve highest total ever for fundraising Make a Will month

It's been a record breaking year for Bath's Royal United Hospitals annual Make a Will charity event and Wards Solicitors is delighted to have helped boost the total raised to an impressive £42,000.

Wards Solicitors' Keynsham office manager and partner Ruth Coles, as well as solicitor Tom Gabb, attended the final cheque presentation to the RUH's Forever Friends Appeal along with representatives from all the other solicitors firms who took part.

Wards Solicitors' fantastic fundraising efforts

Wards Solicitors, recently made a corporate partner of the Forever Friends Appeal after raising a notable £10,000, has been involved with the scheme from the start, waiving the usual fees to draw up professionally written standard Wills for those who want one, in return for a minimum donation of £100 for a single Will and £150 for a mirror Will paid directly to the Forever Friends Appeal.

'Very appreciative'

Jan Witt, In Memory and Legacy Officer for The Forever Friends Appeal, said: "This is the biggest amount raised so far by our scheme and we are very appreciative of the generous support given to us by the solicitors who worked extremely hard to help as many people as possible to draw up thousands of Wills throughout September last year.

"RUH Will Month has been running for three years and it has proved to be very valuable to the Appeal. Not only does it raise significant funds towards the work we do helping to fund projects and equipment for all areas across the hospital but also provides a yearly reminder to the public to focus on getting their affairs in order to ensure their savings and possessions go to the people they love and care for."

The RUH Will Month scheme runs during September and dates and details for this year's event will be announced in the coming months.
