Wards Solicitors shortlisted for prestigious legal award

We are delighted to announce that Wards Solicitors has been shortlisted for the 2019 Devon and Somerset Law Society Legal Awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year Award category.

The awards, now in their fourth year, recognise the contribution law firms make to the local community and the economy.

Making the shortlist - after a lengthy judging process - is heartening acknowledgement of all the hard work put in by Wards Solicitors' staff to support local charities and events over the last year as well as the communities in which they work.

Staff who go 'the extra mile'

Our Community and Social Responsibility Policy sums up the very essence of what we are about - playing an important role in the heart of the communities in which we work, forging lasting relationships with local people and businesses - including standing alongside them to support the causes and charities they care about - and providing excellent client service.

Key to the success of this relationship is the commitment of our staff who consistently 'go the extra mile' - everything from charity fundraising to finding homes for adored pets that elderly clients can no longer look after.

This year alone we raised £10,000 for the Forever Friends Appeal Will Campaign to support Bath's Royal United Hospital. We also provide regular, free Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity legal advice and help sessions at local libraries, attend school careers events across the region and regularly support projects, charities and events across the areas we cover.

Winners will be announced at the awards dinner on 4 April at Exeter Cathedral.

  • Covering a large section of the South West, Wards Solicitors has more than half its 11 offices in Somerset including Keynsham, Clevedon, Nailsea and Weston super Mare, Portishead and Worle and employ 80 legal specialists covering a broad spectrum of private client work as well as a wide range of services for business clients, mostly SMEs.
