Ezweni specialises in the following main areas:

  • Assisting clients in the preparation of Deputyship and Trustee Act Applications.
  • Dealing with the day to day management of Deputyship files which involves working with family members, care homes, social services and various financial institutions.
  • Preparing Deputy Reports.
  • Preparing Statutory Will and Statutory Gift applications where the client lacks capacity and has no Will in place. This work involves liaising with family members, the Court and the Official Solicitor to agree a Will and Gifts which are in the best interests of the client.

Ezweni says: I have an empathetic approach and I am able to put clients at ease during what can often be a difficult experience and assist them to put in place the necessary documents in relation to what is in the best interests of a loved one who has lost capacity to manage their own affairs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Law degree: 2014
  • Qualified as a solicitor: 2022
  • Member South West branch of the Court of Protection Practitioners Association (CoPPA) since March 2022.
  • Fluent in  Shona and Ndebele (Zimbabwe’s two main languages)
