Probate Wills & Mental Capacity
Specialism
Samantha deals with the full range of Wills, probate and estate administration work including:
- Will drafting and estate planning, including preparing Wills with discretionary trusts for minor or disabled children and estate planning for business owners to ensure assets pass to the intended beneficiaries;
- Administration of estates, in particular administration of taxable and non-taxable estates including transfer of nil rate band and intestate estates;
- Lasting Power of Attorney and obtaining proof of mental capacity.
Samantha says: “Wills and Lasting Power of Attorneys (LPAs) are very powerful documents. I encourage anyone considering making either of these to take specialist advice as it is easy, for example, to incorrectly complete a homemade Will, making the document invalid, or misunderstand the powers you are giving when you appoint an LPA. By taking advice first, you are potentially making great financial savings in the future.”
