It was smiles all round when Wards Solicitors presented Secret World Wildlife Rescue with a cheque for more than £2,000, all raised from the animal charity's first ever Will writing week.

Solicitors from Wards Solicitors' Weston-super-Mare and Worle offices gave up their usual fees to prepare 16 Wills for people who in turn made a donation to Secret World in Somerset to help fund its vital work rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.

Partner Rebecca Parkman from Wards Solicitors' Weston-super-Mare office said she was delighted with the total, which was boosted to just over £2,700 by Gift Aid.

"We are strong believers in the value of the work done by the staff and volunteers at Secret World," said Rebecca. "It is a new partnership for us and we were more than happy to get involved for such a worthy cause."

Jeremy Duxbury, Corporate and Community Fundraiser for Secret World, added: "A million thanks to Wards Solicitors for doing such a marvellous job."
