Battling the elements to help keep Portishead beach free of plastic litter

It was cold, it was wet, it was windy - but Wards Solicitors' staff were more than happy to brave the wintry weather to help clean up Portishead beach.

They took to the sands to join Turn the Tide's regular beach clean team of volunteers, picking up litter and plastic with as much as possible then passed on to local recycling centres.

Staff from our Portishead office - Mandy McCabe, Laura Jakeways, Sheridan Ferris and Laura Llewellyn, - were joined by colleagues Tom Bowering from Henleaze, Richard Green from Nailsea and Kayleigh Harris from Bristol.

Family Law and Divorce team Partner, Mandy McCabe, said: "Even though the weather was dreadful, and we all got soaked, we had a great time and are definitely planning to help support the invaluable work of Turn the Tide at future beach clean-ups."
