Applicants – please apply directly to us:
Please apply in person for our vacancies and not through a recruitment agency. Agencies add significantly to our overheads by charging a high percentage of a year’s salary for an introduction (often 20%) and this can reduce the salary we are able to offer a successful candidate. Even if you are listed with an agency, please apply to us direct, even if the agency says they have been in touch with us.
Trainee Solicitors
We currently have no trainee vacancies. Due to the number of speculative applications received, we are unable to respond to them. Our next trainee recruitment round will be advertised on our website, although is unlikely to be until mid-2024.

Work experience and apprenticeships
Here at Wards Solicitors we are very keen to encourage the next generation of lawyers. We are trialling a new scheme for those studying in years 12 and 13 and above. On set days, we will be running a ‘meet the lawyer’ session for up to six aspiring lawyers to come into one of our branches and have a face to face meeting with a number of our team. They will do a brief talk about what they do, and how they got to where they are now. You will have a tour of our offices, and have the chance to ask anything you like about working in the legal profession.
Each session will run between 11am and 1 pm. Our schedule for these days is:
Bristol
Monday 13 November 2023
Thursday 8 February 2024
Bradley Stoke
Thursday 16 November 2023
Monday 5 February 2024
Weston super Mare
Monday 20 November 2023
Thursday 1 February 2024
If you would like to receive an invitation to attend an event, please email your CV and an email setting out what you hope to get from the session to georgina.peacock@wards.uk.com. Don’t forget to specify which event you would like to be invited to. We look forward to hearing from you! Please note that we are unable to offer any other form of work experience at this time.
Agencies:
We do not accept unsolicited introductions for any of our vacancies. Any CVs sent without our express written approval will not form the basis of a contract between us and will not be considered a valid introduction of any candidate. If you have a specific cv to offer to us please seek prior agreement by email to Jenny Pierce, Managing Partner.
