Flying high… Wards getting into the swing of things for the Big Wigs Charity Challenge

As reported in September Wards are taking part in the Sue Ryder Big Wigs challenge.

Teams from across the Wards offices have set themselves the goal of raising £5,000 by March 2011. With only four months in which to raise these funds everyone is having to think creatively! Upcoming initiatives include a charity auction, abseil and a Christmas raffle.

On Sunday 5 December a team of 20 of our staff will abseil at a quarry near Weston super Mare, raising money for the campaign through sponsorship.

This will be followed by a charity auction at The Ship Inn at Uphill. The Charity Auction is being chaired by the very experienced auctioneer, Toby Pinn of Clevedon Sales Rooms.

If you represent a local business and would like to donate an auction item in support of our challenge we would be happy to give your business a mentioned both during the sale and in the event literature.

Please get in touch with Jenny Pierce if you would like to support us in our endeavours.
