Full speed ahead for Wards Solicitors at Colliers Bristol TRYathlon
On one of the hottest days of the year, three teams from Wards Solicitors - along with 250 other professionals from 50 leading local companies - took part in this year's Colliers Bristol TRYathlon and all were delighted with the record result raised for charity.
Organised by commercial property specialists, Colliers International, the event took place at Tockington Manor, near Bristol where competitors had to swim 400m, cycle 16km and run 5km, either as members of a team of three or as individuals.
Now in its fifth year, all entry fees go to charity and this year an impressive £5,700 was raised for the West of England MS Therapy Centre which provides treatments and therapies to help people living with Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological conditions.
Wards Solicitors fielded three teams and two individuals.
- Wards Solicitors Team 1, made up of Matt Pitt (swim), James Taylor (cycle) and Richard Green (run), came 5th with a time of 01:02:57.
- Wards Solicitors Team 2, made up of Claire James (swim), Pete Livingstone (cycle) and Tom Bowering (run), came 26th with a time of 01:15:08.
- Wards Solicitors Team 3, made up of Alison Underhill (swim), Katrina Bartlett (cycle) and Ruth Coles (run), came 40th with a time of 01:40:07.
Georgia Collier and Richard Clement entered as individuals and completed all three of the individual elements with Georgia coming 65th with a time of 01:13:37 and Richard finishing 77th with a time of 01:19:15.
Wards Solicitors' Partner, James Taylor, said: "It was great to support the Colliers TRYathlon again this year and I'd like to thank Colliers for another fantastic event. Everyone swam, cycled and ran as fast as they could whilst flying the flag for Wards Solicitors amongst Bristol's property business community. We all enjoyed the day very much indeed."
