Wards Solicitors was delighted to attend a special information event held by The Macular Society to help people affected by macular disease, a leading cause of vision loss.

Alison Mellor and Stephanie Hill, both members of the Wills and Mental Capacity Team, manned the Wards Solicitors' stand to chat to visitors, hand out information and help advise on legal subjects like making a Will.

The Macular Roadshow, held in partnership with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, took place at Bristol's Grand Hotel, next door to the Wards Solicitors' Central Bristol office, and included a low vision equipment and services exhibition as well as a series of talks given by leading experts in the field.

The Macular Society funds research to try to find a cure for the disease. There are about 300 Macular Society support groups around the UK and beyond.
