Helping St Peter’s Hospice – Make a Will fortnight
As ever, Wards Solicitors is getting right behind this year's St Peter's Hospice Make a Will Fortnight with 16 of our Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity lawyers all on hand to help you make or update your Will.
From October 8 to 21, solicitors from nine of our offices will all give up their time, free of charge, to provide this service.
Rather than paying us, you make a suggested donation of £150 to £200 to St Peter's Hospice to help fund its vital work caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses.
Main supporters
Wards Solicitors has been one of the main supporters of the Bristol charity's Will writing initiative for the last five years, helping it raise close to £100,000 in that time.
Partner Jenny Pierce, head of the Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity team, said: "St Peter's Hospice is an incredible place. It costs £20,000 a day to run yet all its care is provided free of charge.
"As ever, we are happy to be involved in raising money for this amazing charity. At the same time, we are pleased to help people make or update a Will, something we believe is very important."
A spokesperson for St Peter's Hospice added: "We cared for more than 2,000 local people with life-limiting illnesses last year and also provided support to their families. The money raised through this campaign will help us to continue providing our services to those who desperately need them."
