Jeans for Genes Day – Dressing down to up the funds for charity

Jeans were the dress code of choice for Wards Solicitors' Yate office staff as they donned denim to raise money for a very special children's charity.

Everyone in the office also made cakes and biscuits - including gingerbread men decorated in very fetching blue icing dungarees and jeans - to sell in aid of Jeans for Genes Day, set up to help the half a million children affected by a life altering genetic disorder in the UK.

The team raised just over £100 which will go towards helping a range of disorder-specific charities provide day-to-day support, equipment, nursing and patient support services as well as putting on events which bring together affected children and their families.

Wards Solicitors Yate office manager, Louise Boustead, solicitor associate in the Family Law and Divorce team, said: "We had a fantastic day with a great team atmosphere and really enjoyed playing our part in this nationwide event to raise money for a very important cause."
