Legal Aid news from Wards’ specialist solicitors

Local law firm, Wards Solicitors is proud to announce that the firm was successful in its recent application to continue to do legal aid family work. These new Family Law Legal Aid contracts will run from 1st February 2012 to 30th November 2013.

People can easily access specialist legal advice, to help them resolve family disputes, at all Wards Solicitors offices, across North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and the Bristol area.

Head of Family Law, Georgina Peacock says, "It's important to us that Wards Solicitors is there for everyone in the local community. Going through a relationship or family breakdown is highly traumatic, without added financial pressures. We believe that everyone has a right to high-level legal support during this time. Of course, with changes to the system proposed by the Government, we're anxious to see how these new contracts pan out, during the coming year."

This news comes on the back of more good news from Wards Solicitors as their Lexcel accreditation is renewed for a further three years. Wards Solicitors have held this award since 2002 and are annually assessed to ensure that they meet the standards set out by Lexcel. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the high management and customer care standards. Lexcel accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.
