Party time in Fishponds Park

It's a vibrant community event with a big heart and once again, Wards Solicitors was delighted to take part in this year's Party in the Ponds in Fishponds Park.

The sun shone, the music rang out and the atmosphere buzzed as Partner Alison Underhill, office manager of Wards Solicitors' nearby Staple Hill office, describes: "It felt a bit like Fishponds own version of Glastonbury! A fantastic event."

Families flooded to the free event to enjoy the variety of entertainment on offer with almost every spare inch of grass in the park taken up by picnics and sunbathers.

Entertainment this year included an Elton John tribute, the Riff Raff Choir, pupils from the Bristol Metropolitan Academy performing songs from their production of Sister Act as well as Bristol-based reggae artist Da Fuchaman.

There was also the usual eclectic mix of displays and performances, arts and crafts stalls and an incredible selection of food and drink.

Lots of visitors to our stand

The Wards Solicitors' team had a busy day welcoming scores of visitors to the stand, giving out Will packs, answering a number of legal queries and handing out armfuls of balloons.

Our competitions to win a hamper and Name the Teddy were as popular as ever with around 100 entries for each. Letters are on the way to the winners.

Alison, who is also head of the Accident and Injury and Medical Negligence teams, added: "It's the second year we have sponsored this fantastic community event and we had great fun meeting and getting to know the many local people who were kind enough to visit our stand this year."
