Taking the biscuit at Portishead Flower Show

Crumbs! There were some fantastic entries in the children's cakes and biscuit classes at this year's Portishead Flower Show.

Despite the torrential rain outside, inside the marquee an impressive array of cupcakes, fruit cakes and cookies stayed dry and delicious as the judges deliberated.

Wards Solicitors was delighted to sponsor all the under-16 cake and biscuit cookery classes at what is now the largest flower show in the North Somerset and Bristol area.

More than 2,000 people visited this year's event which had three marquees and 24,000 square feet of exhibits and entertainment, including live music and dancing, under canvas. It was organised by Portishead and District Horticultural Society.
