Those standing by Bristol Docks on Sunday 8th June may have been amused to see a dragon boat full of 'women' steaming past. Wards Solicitors joined in with the Rotary Club of Bristol's fundraising Dragon Boat Race Day, coming a respectable 13th out of 37. The team was made up of both men and women dressed up for the day and racing under the name of Ladies That Launch…

Wills & Probate specialist, Tom Scoffham explains: "From the photos you may believe we simply spent Sunday afternoon cross dressing. However, have a look at this video http://youtu.be/8l9m8ARmwGw. It shows the victorious Wards Solicitors' crew winning our heat against Clarke Willmott Solicitors and another crew. I'm sure you will agree that Pinsent and Redgrave will be pleased that they have retired after seeing our mighty performance…"

Head of Wills & Probate, Jenny Pierce, said: "We came 13th out of 34th which, over the many years we've been entering, was our best performance to date. We went for drag-on-boat with the team name 'Ladies That Launch'."
