Wards Solicitors strengthens Disputes team with new appointment

Wards has welcomed a new Solicitor Associate to its highly acclaimed Disputes team, as the firm continues to expand its presence across the South West.

Georgia Wookey has specialised in Inheritance and Trust Disputes since qualifying in May 2016, and joins Wards from Devon firm Stephens Scown, where she worked as a solicitor in their inheritance and trust disputes team.

Georgia specialises in the full range of Wills, Trusts and Probate disputes, as well as contentious Court of Protection work. She also advises on cohabitation issues including cohabitation agreements, and in disputes between separating unmarried couples seeking to divide property and assets. She will be based in Wards' Thornbury office.

Recognised in Chambers High Net Worth 2020, Georgia has been listed as 'One to Watch' for her work.

In the most recent Legal 500 guide, Wards' Disputes team was commended for its high standards and excellent track record in dealing with high-value disputes over wills, trusts and probate.

Commenting, Georgia said: 'I'm very excited to be joining Wards and Elizabeth Fry's team. I am also looking forward to helping grow the Contentious Probate and contentious Court of Protection offer across the South West region."

Head of Wards' Disputes team Elizabeth Fry said: "We are delighted to welcome Georgia to Wards. Her valuable experience and outstanding client service ethos is a strong fit for our team, and will enable us to expand and develop further our specialist Contentious Probate practice."
