Wards’ Yate office – helping our local foodbank

With so many people facing severe hardship this Christmas, staff at our Yate office decided to organise donations for for The Candle foodbank in Yate, which is organised by the Trussel Trust.

This year has seen a huge surge in demand for foodbank services across Bristol and North Somerset. Research from the Trussel Trust predicts a 61% increase in food parcels needed across the UK between October and December - that's six parcels given out every minute. Families with children are among the hardest hit.

Further donations of both essential food items and toiletries/household goods are welcomed at The Candle every Tuesday between 2 and 4pm, and on Fridays between 10 and 12pm.
