Yate office: Helping our local foodbank this Christmas

With more people than ever before expected to use a foodbank this Christmas, staff from Wards Solicitors' Yate office were more than happy to help out.

A collection made for the Trussell Trust's Yate and Chipping Sodbury food bank will go towards supporting struggling local families facing a bleak Christmas.

December 2018 was the busiest month of the year for foodbanks with 186,185 three-day emergency food parcels provided by the Trussell Trust's national network to people in crisis. Of these, 78,536 went to children.

And this December is expected to be no better. That's why the charity's chief executive, Emma Revie, is still appealing for people to help their local foodbank as soon as possible by first checking what is needed and then donating as soon as possible.
