Many of us at Wards Solicitors have established networks of professionals who refer work to us and to whom we can refer clients and other contacts. Being a local firm, staying involved in our local business communities is important to us. It helps us to spread the word about how we can help our clients, as well as getting to know local businesses who may be able to assist our clients in areas we don’t cover.
Having a passion for cycling (mainly to work) I was very interested to find out about a new business networking group which started up in May 2014.
Riding out from Mud Dock Café early in the morning of the last Friday of each month, Bristol Cycling Network (an initiative of Stephen King of Bluefin Group insurance) has enabled professionals from the world of insurance, accountancy, tax, finance, leisure and law to meet up and enjoy a challenging 30-mile ride whilst finding out more about each other’s businesses. At the end of the ride a coffee and breakfast in the café allows for a more relaxing discussion about business developments, tales of the road and Froome’s chances in the Tour..
The May ride took us out towards Clevedon with a memorable swift descent back towards Ashton Court. In June we had an equally interesting trip climbing out past Backwell, round the back of Bristol Airport, and returning via Goblin Combe.
Both routes were expertly selected and led by Pip of LeSportif.cc ..
If you like cycling and would like to meet other business advisers to explore some beautiful lanes and business opportunities why not join the next ride on Friday 25th July?
