All Jobs

Applicants – please apply directly to us:

Please apply in person for our vacancies and not through a recruitment agency. Agencies add significantly to our overheads by charging a high percentage of a year’s salary for an introduction (often 20%) and this can reduce the salary we are able to offer a successful candidate. Even if you are listed with an agency, please apply to us direct, even if the agency says they have been in touch with us.

Trainee Solicitors

We currently have no trainee vacancies. Due to the number of speculative applications received, we are unable to respond to them. Our next trainee recruitment round will be advertised on our website, although is unlikely to be until mid-2024.

Work experience and apprenticeships

Here at Wards Solicitors we are very keen to encourage the next generation of lawyers. We run ‘meet the lawyer’ sessions for up to six aspiring lawyers to have a face to face meeting with members of our team. These sessions are aimed at those studying in year 12 and above. Our lawyers will do a brief talk about what they do, and how they got to where they are now. You will have a tour of our offices, and have the chance to ask anything you like about working in the legal profession. Each session will run between 11am and 1 pm.

Sessions in our central Bristol office:

  • Wednesday 6 November 2024
  • Thursday 16 January 2025

To be considered for one of these sessions, please send your CV and an email setting out what you hope to get from the session to alison.bradley@wards.uk.com. Please specify which event you would like to be invited to.

Sessions in our Weston super Mare office:

  • Thursday 7 November 2024

To be considered for this session, please send your CV and an email setting out what you hope to get from the session to amy.jones@wards.uk.com.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Students in Years 10 – 12 seeking work experience are advised to ring the Bristol Law Society on 0117 945 8486 or to look at this information on their website:

Please note that we are unable to offer apprenticeship schemes or any other form of work experience at this time.

Agencies:

We do not accept unsolicited introductions for any of our vacancies. Any CVs sent without our express written approval will not form the basis of a contract between us and will not be considered a valid introduction of any candidate. If you have a specific cv to offer to us please seek prior agreement by email to Jenny Pierce, Managing Partner.

Important notice: please read

Cyber-crime is on the increase and solicitor transactions can be hijacked by scammers. This commonly takes the form of email or phone interception.

Please be aware that we will never ask you to send money to a different bank account, particularly by email. If you receive a request for money from us, we advise that you call (using the number on our website) to verify our bank details before sending funds.

If you receive an email giving any other bank account please telephone us immediately without replying to the email or sending any money. We accept no responsibility if you transfer money to a bank account which is not ours.
