Understanding construction disputes

Are you one of the thousands of UK homeowners considering an extension or renovation to your property, instead of moving to a larger house? With increasing numbers taking this route it's little wonder that there has been an increase in the number of disputes between homeowners and builders.

On the occasions where there is a dispute, homeowners tend to make the following complaints about their builder:

  • The building works were not completed to a good standard.
  • The finished building works did not match up to the works that were agreed at the outset.
  • The builder has charged more than what was agreed for the works.
  • The builder has walked off site before the job was finished.
  • The builder caused damage to your property during the course of the job.

We can help in all of the above situations and many more. We have experience in pursuing builders to have them complete the job that was agreed or recover any money that they owe to you. If the builders fail to resolve the problems amicably, we can issue Court proceedings against them and attempt to enforce any Court Order against them.
