Helping communities thrive: Wards Solicitors supports Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever
Wards Solicitors has awarded a grant from its Centenary Fund to Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever - a South Gloucestershire charity dedicated to tackling isolation, loneliness and hardship.

Based in Kingswood, Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever supports people of all ages who are facing challenges including unemployment, bereavement and food insecurity. The charity provides practical help alongside emotional support, helping individuals and families build confidence, resilience and stronger connections within their community.
Its vibrant community hub offers a wide range of facilities and activities, including a climbing wall, basketball court, community garden and café. The garden not only provides a space for wellbeing and mindfulness but also grows fresh produce used in the café.
A community shop selling donated clothing, toys and household items is open on-site during the week, while food parcels are available for anyone experiencing food insecurity, without the need for a referral.

Supporting local communities has always been at the heart of Wards Solicitors, and the grant will help fund the charity's Crisis Prevention and Personalised Support (CPPS) service, which provides tailored one-to-one practical and emotional support for people facing complex challenges. Working closely with local organisations, healthcare professionals and other support services, the team helps individuals access the assistance they need before problems escalate.
The funding will enable Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever to expand this vital service in response to growing demand and continue providing the personalised, wraparound support that has become a lifeline for so many local people.
Quote from Catherine Sama:
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from Wards Solicitors, which makes a meaningful difference to the lives of people in our community. At Kingsmeadow @ MadeForever, we support individuals and families facing multiple complex challenges including poverty, poor mental health, and isolation. This funding enables us to provide both vital crisis and longer-term support, create safe and welcoming spaces, and empower people through our personalised support, wellbeing services and volunteer development programmes.
What makes our work truly impactful is the trust we build and the opportunities we create for people to regain confidence, stability, and a sense of purpose. This grant allows us to continue strengthening our community, reach more people in need, and ensure that no one has to face their challenges alone. We are proud to work in partnership with funders who share our vision for a more connected, resilient, and hopeful community.”
Quote from Jenny Pierce: "Kingsmeadow is the kind of organisation that quietly makes an enormous difference every day. Their team brings people together, provides practical help when it's needed most and creates opportunities for people to move forward with confidence. We're pleased to be able to support their work through our Centenary Fund and look forward to seeing the positive impact it continues to have across our local communities."
Wards Solicitors raises money for various charities throughout the year with initiatives such as ‘Make a Will in May’ month and the Bristol Rotary Dragon Boat Race but also have their centenary fund which can be used to support local causes and charitable programmes with grants.
Kingsmeadow have two events coming up in July: a jumble sale on the 18th and their 3 day Summer Holiday event from the 29th to the 31st.
