New Year success for Wards’ Lawyers

Wards Solicitors is pleased to announce that three lawyers have been promoted to Associates this New Year.

Divorce and Relationship Breakdown specialist, Jessica Williams, based in Staple Hill, Commercial Litigation specialist, Alex Lyttle, based in Bristol City Centre, and New Homes specialist, Geoff Goulding, based in Bradley Stoke, join the firm's other Associates.

Managing Partner, David Sheridan said: "Since its formation over 100 years ago, Wards Solicitors has promoted a culture of expert legal advice, progression and legacy. Our New Year changes reflect our investment in the firm's future, and rewarding those individuals that contribute towards it. I, along with the rest of the partnership, am delighted to see these three progress, in this way, and look forward to the coming year with them amongst our Associate team."

In addition to these changes, Wards' Solicitors has announced that Associate, Tom Scoffham, has passed his final exams to become a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Based in the Bradley Stoke office, Tom is the latest member of Wards' leading Wills, Wealth & Mental Capacity team to qualify for this. This qualification demonstrates Tom's expertise in the field of managing estates and trusts, both during lifetime and after death. This high level qualification is recognised by professionals in the UK and sets Tom out as a specialist in this field.

With recent news coverage about the perils of unregulated Will-writers and the importance of using a qualified expert for Wills, Estate and Probate matters, this qualification is something that members of the public should look out for.

Head of Wills, Wealth & Mental Capacity, Jenny Pierce said, "We're delighted that Tom has gained this accreditation. It's hard work to qualify for this and demonstrates his expertise in this ever-changing field. At Wards Solicitors we have long campaigned against the perils of using unregulated Will-writers and legal service providers. The fact that almost all of the team already holds this qualification, or is working towards it cements our dedication to best practice."

People can easily access specialist legal advice, to help them resolve family disputes, at all Wards Solicitors offices, across South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and the Bristol area.
