Pitch Perfect in Nailsea

Delighted to help keep a team of keen footballers on the ball, Wards Solicitors have given £350 to Nailsea Vets Football Club to help kit them out in style.

The team - made up of players all aged 45 and over - now take to the pitch in a striking blue and white strip with Wards Solicitors' logo on the front.

Solicitor Associate and office manager of the Nailsea office, Luke Hewitt, presented the team with the shirts. He said: "Wards Solicitors has had an office in Nailsea since 2000 and we feel very much a part of the community here. We were really pleased to be able to help out when this local team approached us and we wish them all the best for the future."

The Vets are in their first season and play in the Bristol Casuals League. The Sawyers Arms in Nailsea - where the team often enjoy a post-match pint - also gave them £200 towards the new kit.

David Cottle, team manager, added: "Having decided to put an over-45's team together, I contacted local businesses in Nailsea for kit sponsorship. We were delighted when Wards Solicitors agreed to help us out together with the The Sawyers Arms."
