Quiz night raises £21,000 for St Peter’s Hospice

What better way to help raise a fantastic sum for Bristol's St Peter's Hospice than to take part in its annual corporate quiz night competing against more than 30 other teams - and win!

Wards Solicitors' team battled it out in a fiercely fought competition to take the St Peter's Hospice Shield from last year's winners, Price Waterhouse Coopers.

The event, held at Gloucestershire County Cricket Ground, raised an incredible £21,000, including matched funding from Barclays Bank, for the charity which cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses.

Wards Solicitors' team was made up of partners Jenny Pierce and James Taylor and solicitor associates Alison Lamont and Rebecca Purchase.

Lara Ellis, St Peter's Hospice's corporate fundraiser, said: "We had a record number of teams booked and it was great to see everyone there. We had so many kind donations for our raffle and auction, so many thanks for those, and finally congratulations to our winners Wards Solicitors!"
