Walk on – Wards Solicitors help support free advice centres

Along with concerned legal professionals from all over Bristol, members of Wards Solicitors stepped out in the rain on a 10k walk around the city to raise money to support vital local advice services.

The Bristol Legal Walk is organised every year by The South West Legal Support Trust to improve access to justice for the most vulnerable members of society by distributing funds to organisations which provide free legal help to people facing serious issues including homelessness, debt and immigration.

Michael Gupwell, Associate Solicitor and Notary Public, who organised the Wards Solicitors team, said: "In these testing times, with poverty growing but funding being cut, the demand for these free advice centres has never been higher. We were delighted to join the walk to help raise money for this important cause."

Michael was joined by Jenny Pierce, head of the Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity team, Alison Bradley, Family Law and Divorce Partner along with Ruth Coles, Rachael Thomas and Stephanie Hill from the Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity team and trainee solicitor Stacey Davies.

The Wards Solicitors Centenary Fund, set up over a decade ago to commemorate the firm's 100th birthday and specifically to support local causes, was pleased to make a donation to The South West Legal Support Trust to support its work.
