Wards scoops Community Engagement Firm of the Year Award!

We’re thrilled to announce that Wards has won this year’s Best Community Engagement Firm in the prestigious Bristol Law Society Awards.

The award celebrates firms who best deliver meaningful and lasting impact in their communities through fundraising, local sponsorship and supporting charities and voluntary organisations.

Seeing off tough competition from Burges Salmon, Irwin Mitchell and the West of England Legal Early Careers Network (WELCN), our entry shone through for the judging panel, and our team was presented with the award at last night’s black tie dinner in Bristol.

Community initiatives this year have included organising a Wards Charity Dog Show which raised more than £2000 for 1625 Independent People, which works to prevent homelessness in young people; a 100 mile charity bike tour across our branch network organised by staff; buying new kit for junior football and netball teams; working with a wide range of local charities including Brain Tumour Support in Thornbury, and The Brightwell MS Centre in Bradley Stoke.   In addition, we have generated more than £6million to date in future income for the National Free Wills Network, through our free Wills scheme.
