We are delighted to announce that Wards have raised more than £6m for the National Free Wills Network…

Wards recently received confirmation to acknowledge the firm’s ongoing support, with the total amount of future income raised to date being an impressive £6, 928, 323.  The scheme is supported by Wards across its branch network of 12 offices in the South West.

What is the National Free Wills Network?

The National Free Wills Network is a partnership between charities and law firms throughout the UK. By working together, they are able to offer charity supporters the chance to make a simple Will for free.

The National Free Wills Network works with around 190 charities, some of which include Alzheimer’s Research UK, Breast Cancer Now, British Heart Foundation, Dementia UK and Cats Protection.  You can see the full list here: https://www.nationalfreewills.net/charity-logos/

Having an up-to-date Will prepared by a solicitor is the best way to ensure that your future wishes will be carried out. It is also the perfect way to leave something to help the charity continue their vital work for generations to come, although there is no obligation to do so.

How does the scheme work?

If you would like to take advantage of the free wills for charity scheme you should contact the charity you wish to benefit. You will be sent a Charity Free Wills Pack, which includes a Free Will voucher and a supporter’s unique reference number for your specific charity. Once you have this then you can contact ourselves and an appointment can be made with one of our specialist lawyers.
