Wards Solicitors marks the start of 2018 with key promotions

Wards Solicitors is celebrating the start of 2018 with two exciting announcements.

Laura Jakeways, a member of the Wills, Probate and Mental Capacity team, and Lucia Mills, who specialises in Cohabitation Disputes, have both been promoted to solicitor associate.

Laura is based in the Portishead office and covers everything from writing tax efficient Wills and advising on the creation and registration of Lasting Powers of Attorney to Court of Protection and mental capacity work and inheritance tax planning.

Lucia specialises in cohabitation issues between unmarried couples who own property together and is experienced in advising cohabiting couples on all areas of the law from how best to legally and financially protect themselves at the start of a relationship through to the importance of making a Will and what to do if things go wrong and they separate.

Wards Solicitors' Managing Partner, David Sheridan, said: "Very many congratulations to both Laura and Lucia. It is great to start the new year with such positive news. They are both important members of our Wards Solicitors' team and I wish them all the best for their future careers here with us."
