Wards Solicitors only Bristol firm to have two family lawyers awarded prestigious accreditation

Partner Alison Bradley, head of Wards Solicitors' family law and divorce team, has added to her list of endorsements by being awarded the Law Society's Family Law Advanced Accreditation, with specialisms in both financial and children cases making her one of just five lawyers in Bristol to hold it.

The accreditation is given only to those who meet the highest standards of technical expertise and client service after demonstrating a high level of competence, knowledge and best practice in family law.

Solicitor Associate, Amy Jones, a fellow member of Wards Solicitors' family law and divorce team, has also recently been awarded the Family Law Advanced Accreditation, making Wards Solicitors the only Bristol firm to have two lawyers with the sought after qualification.

Particular expertise

Alison Bradley has more than 20 years' experience in family law with particular expertise in financial provision following relationship breakdown.

She is also accredited by Resolution, the national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems, as a specialist in Financial Provision and in Cohabitation Law.

Alison provides clients with expert legal advice on all aspects of family law including:

  • Divorce and separation - guiding clients through their options and advising on the different legal processes, drafting documents and communicating with the other party and/or their solicitor if required;
  • Children arrangements - advising and assisting to reach agreement about children and the arrangements for spending time with, in most cases, both parents, whilst focusing on everyone's interests;
  • Finances - understanding client needs and objectives, what the assets, resources and means of the parties are and what is a fair outcome as well as being able to access a wide range of expertise both internally and externally in relation to trusts, financial planning, business structure and pensions.

Alison said: " I am very pleased to have been awarded the Law Society Family Law Advanced Accreditation and delighted that the Wards Solicitors' Family Law and Divorce Team now has two members who hold it."
