Asbestos-related lung cancer banner

Services For You

As with other asbestos-related illnesses, the condition can develop over several decades. The average length of time is 15-35 years, but it can be more or less than this in individual cases.

Asbestos-related lung cancer is differentiated from mesothelioma because mesothelioma affects the lining of the lungs. As the name suggests, asbestos-related lung cancer affects the lungs themselves.

Unlike mesothelioma, which is primarily caused by asbestos exposure, lung cancer has many potential causes, including other toxins and smoking. Furthermore, studies show that people who smoke and have been exposed to asbestos are substantially more like to develop lung cancer.
