Asbestosis
When someone breathes in asbestos dust, asbestos fibres lodge themselves in the lungs and stay there. Over time this causes scarring, which makes it more difficult for the lungs to function properly.
Merry Christmas!
This year our offices will close at 5.30pm on Monday 23rd December and reopen at 9:00am on Thursday 2nd January.
Please note the last day for completions in our Conveyancing Department will be Friday 20th December.
We wish you all a safe and happy Christmas, and best wishes for 2025.
Services For You
When someone breathes in asbestos dust, asbestos fibres lodge themselves in the lungs and stay there. Over time this causes scarring, which makes it more difficult for the lungs to function properly.
Scarring (or ‘fibrosis’) of the lungs can occur without asbestos exposure. However, if a person has been exposed to a large quantity of asbestos dust during their lifetime, it becomes more likely that the scarring has been caused by asbestos exposure and that person is diagnosed as suffering from ‘asbestosis’.
The condition is permanent and can cause severe disability and even death. The condition often takes decades to develop and so often affects people in later life.
If you or a loved one has been diagnosed an asbestos-related illness, or if a loved one has died from an asbestos-related illness, we can help you.
We offer independent, expert legal advice and we can help you to understand all of the options available. We have a number of offices across North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire and serve clients across the wider Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Somerset region.
We are also happy to visit you in your own home.
